Award-winning speculative fiction author Barbara Lund has several indie-published novels, dozens of short stories, and has been traditionally published in Daily Science Fiction and L. Ron Hubbard’s Writers of the Future, Vol 37.
She won the Writers of the Future Golden Pen Award (2021) along with a First Place, three Silver Honorable Mentions, and two Honorable Mentions. Her winning story, “Sixers", won the 24th Annual Critters Readers Poll’s Best Magical Realism Short Story.
Her recent publications include a cops-in-space omnibus, Platform Eight; a programmer-in-space short story, Reboot; an epic fantasy, Dragonscale Throne; and a fantasy retelling of Beauty and the Beast… where he’s the beauty, she’s the beast, and a goddess will burn down the city if she finds out what’s going on, Lost Priestess.
She is currently (and always) working on another novel and a couple short stories.
Add a husband, two kids, and a martial arts obsession, and she keeps pretty busy.
